We dont know anything about your PC (specs) and what you'll do with it.
For Music? Gaming? Office? Videos?
Also you should know that a CPU is a processor.

give us your specs, with the rate the programs are depending on gpus these days and the spread of multithreading, you don't need to upgrade your cpu very often unless you do some heavy number crunching/ sims. that being said, go for a new gpu

Yeah we need to see a lot more in order to give reasonable advice - usually a 1080 is a better spend though.
