I think you are best to view an investment in BTC in the same way as any other high risk investment option. If you view BTC as have a good potential for growth over the medium to long term then the best strategy, in my opinion, is to consider your appetite for risk and then assign an appropriate amount of your overall portfolio to BTC depending on that eg:

Low risk: 1%-5% of portfolio in high risk investments
Medium risk: 5%-10% " "
High risk: Over 10%

Then you should drip feed your investment in so that you smooth out any large changes in the market.

If you have money to buy at least 0.5 of it, it might be worth it. Everythign else not. Because your profits would be way too low. You'd better to invest in cheaper currence, since it would give you much more profit.

I would personally not invest in BTC as of right now, because of the current exchange rate. I suggest investing in smaller currencies such as Monero (XMR), Ripple (XRP).

Right now crypto currency is still fairly volatile and that makes it risky to invest in since the price could plummet over night. However they have shown to be popular so I'd say go for it.
