Signature Character Length

I agree with having an increased character limit on signatures, but instead of having it for everyone I believe increasing it for upgraded members is better. Not because I want to force upgrades on people, but it gives another incentive andprevents the amount of content new members with bad intent can show. To be fair, most of the people who do hit the limit are upgraded already or just people who have been around for awhile.

I also agree this would be a wonderful idea for upgraded users <3

Didn't think about it honestly, it's a wonderful idea. Maybe Prime gives you 25 more characters, supreme gives you 50characters and Divine gives you 100characters.

I understand that they may just give 50 more for prime updates and that's it but it would actually be something else to add on the list of things. Subdividing it that way it also pushes people to upgrade further than just prime if they can, as they aren't highly expensive items it's easy for more people to access them.

instead of increasing the character limit i think we should exclude certain tags from taking up character slots such as tags that have to deal with: alignment, font size, font, and anything else that isn't its own object.

by own object i mean like hide tags and spoilers and stuffs like that

Could be both, removing those limits would mean we have 255 character for text or images + formatting.
The upgrade for extra characters however is a good incentive for new members to upgrade and for them to want more from the forum.
Either way i just want more space or a way to format text and add an image without running out of space because of formatting.

That is true, I could make a signature with random things in it that reached 500, but upgraded members? No. I really don't agree, why not people with at least 500 posts and has a good reputation? So then people that have the requirements don't have to spend their hard earned money.

I wanna just spam yepyepyep. but that's considered spam so I'll write a couple sentences agreeing with this. I agree with this 100%. Something I've wanted for a long time just figured it wouldn't be added. I also somewhat agree that it should be an upgraded thing. Maybe each upgrade progressively gets a higher max. Prime gets 300, supreme 400, divine 500 or something along those lines. Anything to get this added ^-^ could always just make mybb code not add to characters used if possible. That would help a lot.

There are many different ways to upgrade, what it's suggested is that similar to messaging space if you upgrade you increase the amount of things you can receive.
Honestly if you have 500 posts and a good reputation someone will have you upgraded already, with all the Free Upgrade giveaways going on the last thing people should complain is that they need to spend money to upgrade.
I have a free upgrade giveaway and barely anyone entered it also if you have 500 posts you might have enough credits already to be able to sell them for an upgrade!

Don't forget, what if someone didn't want an upgraded Account? They just wanted to be a respected person that stands out from the rest?
