So all the popular addons from the gmod store will be leaked of course. But how do you think that makes the devs feel. I not trying to make people feel bad about using leaks im just curious. What they think about people downloading their addon for free. I mean it seriously has to enrage them.

Those hard hours of work to nothing, that's how they feel, however there are thousand of addons that shouldn't even be on sale for how simple and shitty the code is, and still they make lots of money.

But at least they sell hundreds of copies before it gets leaked. I mean how much money can a gmod addon make anyway?

Probably pretty pissed.

I stand by what I say when I say that GMOD addons shouldn't be behind a paywall.

Who caers if they sell hundreds of copies, that still does not give you the right to steal from there, these addons quite literally go for $3-4.

Really most of them probably don't care enough to actually go after the ones that did it; If they learn about it they'd probably just accept it.

I have been told that generally speaking finding the right idea for an interesting add-on that has not been created before is the hardest part, especially when trying to make money from it. However, other than a few exceptions it's hard to make real money even when you get the right idea, it's more a small side income rather than how they buy their food and pay their rent. So while pissed because of all the work they put into it, for the most of them it might not be that horrible either.
