Plugins for minecraft servers

Hello

I want to make a factions server and i don't know what plugins to add for a better server. Any ideas ?

I have a few that will definitely help out as I used to own a factions server.

EssentialsX
A factions plugin
Worldedit (to build stuff)
A punishment plugin (litebans is awesome)

Those are the essential plugins, but you can look around for some more on the internet if you want!

Factions servers are heavily polluted as their are so many. It's difficult to build a good audience on one because of it.

For a Factions server, you would need some basic plugins
such as

World Edit (This would be an Admin only tool due to its power that could help with building)
Essentials (Runs the entire server and gives basically all the commands)
Group Manager or Pex or Lucky Perms (These are all for ranks and permissions)
Litebans (This plugin costs money but it is very good but you can just use essentials to ban people until you can get litebans)
A factions plugin (You obviously need a factions plugin)
A starter kit plugin this will allow you to get your players to have a starter loadout with some armour and food and whatever you choose.
A shop plugin so you can make users be able to buy things in spawn
Buycraft - Allow users to donate
Also you can look at spigot to find some more plugins that are very good and cool which could make your server better, Just make sure you can find some good leaks or paid plugins which will make your server better than others otherwise it will be harder to get players.

I would say that making a Minecraft server now may be a bad idea due to the slowly decreasing in size of community but if it is what you enjoy that go ahead

Please for the love of everything that is Minecraft... Get an Item/Chest sorter. So when people go in their chests, they can hit "R" to sort items, for easy organization. I'm so OCD about my chests, It's not even funny lol.

You absolutely need essentials and worldedit and worldguard

I like EssentialsX and Permissions from Essentials, as well as WorldEdit + Worldguad and stuff like that

Hydra, LiteBans, FeatherBoards, EpicWorldGenerator, Atmoshphere, SmartSpy, Life are good spigotmc.org plugins..
