Should I sell or wait?

Depends on your loses but I usually just recommend to keep holding it unless you're desperately needing the money.

I just sold half of my btc. A part of it went to altcoins, and the rest is now in USD.

You should mention next time what currency you're talking about, but since you mentioned $20k I can only assume Bitcoin.

Most definitely it will go back and probably above 20k, everyone should expect it to go down by Christmas because everyones cashing out.
