FPS loss on my Laptop

My FPS on my laptop while playing CS suddenly dropped sometimes even under 30 FPS. The laptop is not even a year old. I tried scanning for viruses, I even reinstalled my whole OS but the problem is still there. What else could be the problem?

The whole laptop got laggy, with every game, sometimes even on normal programs. It sometimes freezes completly and I have to either unplug/replug the power cord or in worst cases restart it whole.

The laptop is Acer v5-591g
Specs:
Intel Core I5-6300HQ
GeForce GTX 950M
8GB Ram

When did you notice this issue begin to happen?

Try running other games, maybe it might be a RAT that you cant find and is taking up your cpu %, maybe someones mining on your laptop.

Last Windows update: Prolly yesterday

This is in CSGO on every server, even official, even community. It happens on other games too.

I noticed it beginning to happen 2-3 months earlier

Happens on other games too. And I reinstalled the whole PC, so I don't think it could be a RAT.

Happens on other games too. And I reinstalled the whole PC, so I don't think it could be a RAT.

Run a benchmark test.

What exactly do you mean? Which program should I use?

There is Benchmark software on steam store, just google Computer Benchmark Software. It simply will stress test your computer.

If you're on a laptop, have u checked for what power settings ur using? also what settings set on the gpu? as u updated maybe vsync and other settings got on and ur gpu can't handle it? try to check those things, you said something about freezings, is your laptop hot? do you clean it? change the Thermal Paste? being one year old, if u don't do that stuff and it is indeed getting hot, you may be damaging internals and may be a cause for your laptop problems

try updating the nividia software because it has a bug in the last release
