Everyone has different opinion, which I will respect, but here is the thing:

As you may know Donald Trump wants to arm teachers with weapons to prevent attacks (like the one in Florida few days ago).

My opinion:

This could be bad, but when teacher is not physically alright (for ex. is being bullied by students) which happens alot in my country, one teacher even suicided due to this, and I dont think it could be good cause the teacher would just shoot on that student no matter what will happen in future so if the teacher cant stand it anymore he/she can just shoot whole class and thensuicide, being teacher is sure not easy.
Please note that this fact just comes because of school state in my country (Czech Republic) I am not really sure how it works in USA.

What is your opinion?

I feel like adding (more) guns to the situation is the exact reason why these issues keep occurring. You cannot fight fire with fire and this is metaphorically what he's doing. If a maniac who legally purchased a gun and run into a school and shoot a bunch of kids, what makes you think that the teacher can't do the same?

Not all, but some teachers are very bad eggs as well. Some teachers are mentally/physically abusive, some teachers are pedophiles, some teachers murderers and the list goes on. I believe it's a dumb move to make and it's moving away from the solution of gun control.

If you look at my country, Australia, and look at how many shootings we've had since 1999 - You'll see that we've had absolutely none (excluding the 2014 Sydney siege, but that gun was not obtained legally in our country and it was a terrorist attack). I'm not saying we don't have access to guns, but the most you can obtain here is a shotgun if you live on a farm and a pistol if you live in a suburban area. I like to think that we're one of the safest countries because of the move we made to initiate gun control but the sad and unfortunate truth, the United States is too late to the move if they choose to take it. Too many people own and love their guns and they'll find it near impossible to do it in such a day and age where people wont protest with their guns in hand. We made the move when people didn't value their weapons as heavily as we do now and we also made the move at the very beginning of all of this shit happening wide spread.

The United States administration is still in denial that guns are the issue. "Guns aren't the problem, people are the problem". Damn fucking right, the people that're the problem are the people who keep letting idiots have open access to semi-automatic rifles. Save your children and initiate at least some sort of gun control. Whether it be a higher age restriction or a whole legal hoop loop to jump through.

I feel like this would be a bad idea. I mean, all teachers would have to go training if they don't know how to buy a gun, then every school would have to buy every teacher a gun. Gun's can be expensive, and sometimes there's a lot of teachers.

Why not just "create more jobs", like he always says he's doing, for security people to take care of defending the school instead of the teachers themselves?

Or maybe, you know, make it harder to get guns?
Awoo~!

It would work but unless building police station next to school idk how fast they would get there and take action. Or just hire guards or some police officers to school.

It's the wrong way of approaching the problem. There should be armed staff, but they definitely shouldn't be teachers. Every school needs to have armed guards to prevent these kinds of situations. The first approach would be tightening up gun control though. Guns shouldn't be removed because that would just make things worse but they definitely should make getting a gun much harder than it is right now. There should definitely be mental and backgrounds checks before being able to get a firearm. People also shouldn't be able to buy automatic rifles, that's just bullshit. I don't see a use in a regular citizen being able to own an automatic rifle.

I agree with you on this one!

I think it is straight up stupid! Why would this solve any problems, it's asking for harm being done to people, what if the teacher is suicidal?

My opinion is this isnt bad, teachers who have been at the same school and have done some tests and acquired the license, but I believe teachers and other responsible members of the staff should be armed and should get more training for those situations

I don't feel like teachers should be able to have guns. It is dangerous because kids could just find them and you know, shoot up the school. There must be a better solution than letting teachers have guns. I can see so much going wrong with that.
