Starting a New Life in Phoenix, AZ

Hi Everybody!

I am new to the forum. I just recently quit my job in Columbus, Ohio to start a new job in Phoenix, AZ.

At my previous job, I had no work/life balance. I was working 60+ hours/week and 6-7 days/week. My life sucked and I didn't even realize it.This awesome guy I know is the CEO of his own company in Phoenix. He saw how miserable I was and thought I would be a good fit for his company. I took the job and things are going pretty good overall. I barely work 40 hours/week and make way more money.

Now that I have all this free time, I don't know what to do with myself. I don't want to get into videogames or binge watching; they are fun, but in the long run they are not very productive.

I am new to Phoenix and don't really have any friends here outside of coworkers.Any recommendations on what I could do or where I could make friends easily? If you are familiar with Phoenix, I live in Tempe near Scottsdale.

Good deal man getting less hours and more pay. You'll have way more time to do thing you want all while getting more money. Good shit.

Thanks man! Yeah, the extra time and money is definitely good.The only downside is that its been pretty lonely on weekends. It's hard making new friends after you get out of school.

Making new friends is easy just go to talk to people xD

yeah, talking is not my strong suit, especially with strangers, but i guess I should work on that, lol

Glad you're enjoying what life has to offer now man, I suggest taking a swing at the night life. Not so much as to find a partner but to meet some friends that you can socialize with and then go casual.

Honestly im not from Phoenix , but being in a similar situation! i found for me going to the local bars and clubs found me alot of new contacts

i heard its a nice place idk but hope you get set in well
