What is the best CPU on the market?

I have been searching countless hours for the best CPU I can find, so far no luck. So I decided to come here for your opinions!

I would go for the i7 8700K good CPU for a good price, anything more expensive is probably not worth it for the normal endusers.

We ask the question of the best CPU but we do not ask the question of the use that we will make of it. Depending on the usage (office, game, server) the best CPU may vary.

AMD RYZEN THREADRIPPER 1950X 16 CORE 4GHz TR4 180W Processor. it's a beast

I think its hard to tell because what is "THE BEST CPU" , because it simply doesn't exIst, since all the top rated CPUs excel in one task for exemple the Core i7-8700 is a beast with his 3.7GHz base frequency (Max turbo 4.9 GHz) across 6 Cores (360 USD) for all workflows tha will require high single core performance, On the other hand an AMD Threadripper 1950X will be great for tasks that will benifit his 16 Cores at 3.3GHz AND 64 PCIE Lanes(1000 USD)

For price to performance the 8700k is the best, overclocked it's an absolute beast

Not good CPU on vendros these days, because of Spectre&Meltdown. So bad times for buy.
