Go read an English writing book. Don't force yourself but if you can read a few pages a day, eventually you will complete the book.

When I'm anxious I just take air, even if this doesn't affect my anxiety. Probably this can help you

Its not easy to just get rid of anxiety, and not everything works for everybody. That unknown fear can be a bitch. If it's bad as you say then seek some professional help.. Talk to a psychiatrist and therapist, and try medication. I take klonopin when my anxiety gets bad... It helps a little

Something that needs to be addressed is that you must know what anxiety is before you actually try to deal with it. I've personally spoken to a therapist frequently and she still helps me to this day with my anxiety. The reason for your anxiety, and it's the sad truth - It's entirely you. EVERYBODY has anxiety and some have it worse than others but anxiety is a basic human emotion. Everybody, feels it, everybody has to deal with it (unless you're missing your frontal lobe??)

The whole reason why anxiety is triggered is the way you think of the situation you're in / about to approach. You overthink it and/or you think of the negative side of the situation and that's why you head into the anxiety state that you experience. Anxiety is pretty much your bodies way of preparing for fight or flight. If you lock up and freeze, whimper, cry, crawl into a fetal position or whatever - You're preparing for the flight side of your anxiety. If you become aggressive or try to fight whatever is making you uncomfortable, you're preparing for the fight side of your anxiety. In order to cure the intense side effects of your anxiety, you HAVE to learn to combat the thought process of the negatives and learn to only focus on the positives which a GOOD therapist can help you with.

Something a lot of people do is go to one therapist, doesn't work - they give up. This is the incorrect thing to do and you're just setting yourself up for failure. Some people aren't compatible with others, and one session is never going to solve the issue. You need constant re-assurance that you can truly break free of the negative thoughts and think of the bright side. I've just drawn up a terrible diagram of how the thought process works with a bad anxiety attack and you'll easily be able to see why you're the issue. The way you choose to think about it is the reason you experience heavy anxiety:

Obviously your situation isn'tthe same, but it's awfully apparent that both thought processes come out of the same situation and one triggers anxiety.

Something that you also have to note, weed is not a permanent solution and will NOT help you in the long run. Weed can enhance the effects of anxiety if you smoke while anxious (above a certain degree, it may help short term when you're not as scared of the situation). I recommend seeing another therapist and trying to figure out how to deal with your anxiety. Be open and honest so that they can see how your situation is. It could be coming from something personal but it all dies down to the process your mind chooses to think. A forum board also has no way of helping you. We are of no help and we're not psychologists. You need professional help when it comes to mental disorders and mental assistance.

Being honest, that's a little too blunt.

In regards to the OP, do you participate in muchsocial interaction? Being secluded and isolated can increase the risk of having heavily active anxiety activity.

Its all in your head, you just gotta say 3,2,1 and do whatever you are trying to accomplish and if that doesn't work just breath and take it slow.
