I highly doubt this has anything to do with what was going through his mind.

You don't see why it's relevant? It's the suggestion section, and this is his suggestion. It doesn't mean it'll get implemented, but it doesn't have to be relevant.

It's probably not a good thing if we have to check someone's profile. If anything, staff and administration will most likely have the ability to stealthily visit profiles if this actually gets implemented.

why? this literally only serves to boost a member's ego, and there's no practical need for a user to check who's been checking their profile.
regardless of its "cool" factor, there's no use for this.

That's certainly my own opinion on this suggestion.
Implementation of this would make people visit certain profiles often (to maintain pseudo-friendship) and avoid other profiles (to avoid being called a stalker).

I am certainly not interested in knowing who visited my profile, it would only build up complications and cringy thoughts and ideas.

Again, my personal opinion.

I can't imagine how many profile visitors staff members get, and I don't want to.

I mean, I guess it would be cool seeing people who seen your profile recently, but I doubt I would use it.
