MyBB 1.8.6 came out the other day so, here's a thread about it.

Release Notes:

Whats added/changed in this version?
This release fixes 5 security vulnerabilities and 51 reported issues causing incorrect functionality of MyBB. Please be aware that not all issues have been fixed in this version in order to provide easy to manage updates.

Vulnerabilities Fixed:
Medium Risk: Forum password bypass in xmlhttp.php.
Low Risk: SQL Injection in Grouppromotions module (ACP).
Low Risk: Possible XSS Injection in the error handler.
Low Risk: Possible XSS issues in old upgrade files.
Low Risk: Possible Full Path Disclosure in publicly accessible error log files.

nice! i love this engine and the custom themes too

Good update I think, it's good that they fix the exploits straight away and push out updates quickly, as apposed to waiting for a huge bulk of them ( *cough* vBulletin *cough*)

Let's hope this is one of the last 1.8.x releases I'm eagerly waiting for 2.0

Mybb stuff are really good, I'm waiting for version 2 and they said they will release some beta this year.

2.0 will be pretty awesome I'd like to think, although I'm really enjoying 1.8 . So in that respect, I'm not too fussed about the release of 2.0 .

I'd like 1.8 to be continued if the themes or plugins are not supported on 2.0 which most likely not because of the new framework that that are using.

i love mybb and i want to try mybb 2.0 :D
