vision and map awareness. Simple as. For exxample you see a gank down bot and you can't respond with a counter gank, you can pressure another lane, invade their jungle and steal camps or pressure other objectives. Same for if you have vision in their jungle too, and you know where they are. jungle is all about map pressure and control.
Don't be afraid to tax cs from lanes either, and make sure to hold lanes and push them in if your laners are backed and not trying to freeze it - as this denies enemies cs.
When you invade be sure to leave a single small creature left as that makes the respawn timer wait until they kill it, starving their jungler even more.
As game progresses into late game make sure to rotate and always have every lane pushing outwards with your team.
If you're alone and theyre rushing mid, go behind them and kill the minions behind them. This should cut off their push unless they have a fed tank to tank the towers.
can give plenty more tips if needed but I think those are good for now Smile
Oh and always push your advantage. Dragons, towers, taking enemy jungle cs or getting vision every chance you can get. Starve the enemy team of whatever you can and apply pressure everywhere. Also when going for flash smites and you have vision, press smite on the objective before you flash over, as this puts it into a buffer ready for you to be in range

1. Depends on champion;
(1): If your clear is fast you can do Buff then do Gromp,wolves or chickes if starting on bot.
after you get lvl 3 (try to be full HP by smiting the camp before you hit lvl 3) move to the best gankable lane. (if started bot -> go to top or mid) (if started top -> bot or mid)
The faster you clear, the earlier you can gank. Also make sure to gank a lane that won't lose even with a kill advantage because you wasted time/money if you do so.

(2): If your clear is slow you can clear the entire jungle and wait for your essential items or lvl 6 to gank. Make sure you pick such champions only when you can assure your team won't need you before you can get items/6.

As a jungler you are not, what people will always try to tell you, supposed to gank hardly lost lanes where ganking may even result in a 2 kill profit for the enemy. Also, always deepward when you see the enemy jungler out of his jung.
Having vision on him will not only help your team, but you too will be able to react in time and make sure he doesn't kill your laners.

My advice, watch a ton of pro's play but not specifically pro play like LCS. YouTube is your friend just look up different pros and see which playstyle you like/fits you and learn from them.
Minimap is important, knowing where enemy jungler can be will give you the edge since you can counter jungle and counter gank with that information.

You should always choose to get level 3 first, so you give your first gank, whatever lane you need, this is a rule for jungle.

Always looks at the map when you're taking monsters or going from camp to camp, buy controls wards and try to be proactive as much as possible but don't overdo it.
