i'd already changed the graphics card on the build :noh: Forgot to update it... Here's the one i went for..

Alright, good.

Personally do not like how it is small form factor, when you are not limited for size. Oh well, nice choice.

That card is small, it is designed for mATX cases. You are not limited for space, so it strikes me as strange.

It doesnt matter though. :spooky:

It won't affect performance? Also was thinking of cooling when I selected that GFX card :noh:

That card has a decent core clock anyway, it won't have much headroom to overclock further with that cooling system though.

If you wanted decent cooling, you're going to want a full sized card. It's just personal preference. I just don't see why you'd buy an ATX motherboard, and a mid tower case and then get a small GPU. It seems odd, but it's no big deal. It's just aesthetics, no performance difference as far as I know.

I went for smaller due to the cooling but I guess you're right... I could look into swapping it.

I was told that a smaller card would result in less need for cooling?

Who keeps telling you this bullshit?

The physical size of the card doesn't matter to how much heat it generates. The die (the processor) is still the same as it is on any other GTX 970. This one is overclocked so it will actually use more power, thus generate more heat than a reference model.

A cooling system is graded on how well it dissipates the heat into the air, this one seems to have a heat-sink and a single fan. Will it suffice? Yes. Is it ideal for you? Not when you have the space to accommodate a full sized card, you should be getting a normal sized card.

This is designed for tiny cases, for those who go to LAN parties and all that shite.
