If you're looking to do any sort of pen-testing, I wouldn't buy a Mac for that. Try out Kali Linux. It's a GNU/Linux distribution so the environment is not far off of OS X (they're both Unix-like systems). If you've done any pentesting in Windows (god forbid), depending on the libraries you used you could find yourself hard pressed to find OS X equivalents. Kali comes with a standard set of tools that you could utilize right after installation.
I second this, if you're really serious about it don't even consider a Mac or any other Apple Product, get a good computer and Kali.

Depends on what you need, really. I like the Unix core that Mac OS has from the perspective of programming. But, if your life revolves mostly around gaming, for example, it's probably not the right choice for you.

No. Just No.
There's no excuse for going to Mac, you're really limiting what you can do.
If you're going to do nothing other than browsing Facebook, and not doing anything resource intensive, like gaming then sure. Just remember that once you make the switch, the only games you'll be playing are Minecraft and a few Facebook games imo.

If you wanna game and be able to do a lot more things I wouldn't recommend you getting a Mac, just stick with windows.

If you're going to use it for a job or something similar then it's ok, because the video editing software on mac is apparently very good, and optomised.
If you're going to actually use it for it's pros, then sure.... But if you're looking to switch just because you're bored, then it's not worth it.
