Denied Sidepanel | Go to last post option

I'd very much like to have the portal on the index go to last post instead of newest one I have not seen, which in some cases is OP.
Would be good to have an option to choose between the two at least, in CP or something like that.

Basically changing the links there from ending with action=newpost to action=lastpost.

This is something I would like to see aswell, The option to change it would be nice too. As some users have probably
gotten used to the way it is now.

The suggestion I didn't know I wanted but is absolutely needed >.>

Makes no sense to me. Why would you want to see the last post when there are posts before that you haven't seen?

For me, when a person I "know" post a reply to a thread I see the topic of above it,I want to see what the last person replied with.
That's about the only times I click on anything in that sidepanel. If I am interested in OP or the other replies, I navigate to them.

I think it's the fine the way it is right now.
No point in reading the last post when there are others which haven't been read yet.
We've been too used to using LF where threads on sidebar on click showed the latest post which was logically wrong.

I honestly hate having to click an extra few times just to see the latest post instead of going to the last post I didn't see. If anything, make it optional to do one or the other maybe some people like going there, but a lot also don't.

Here's a very simple userscript that should work.

Aoki pretty much said it isn't happening. Unless he changes his mind it won't be changed.
