The best anime to watch as a newcomer is Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood, a must watch.

Attack on Titan, One Punch Man, Seven Deadly Sins, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Hunter x Hunter, Made in Abyss, Boku no Pico, Hajime no Ippo, Code Geass, My Hero Academia, Berserk, and Drifters are some of the anime I personally think new people will enjoy since it's action based and doesn't have as much ecchi in it.

Haha, thank you! Baku is the short form of Bakura from Yu-Gi-Oh!, which is by the way also a very good anime series for beginners

Yeah it's truly amazing ^_^

But srs, I would recommend Nichijou and Konosuba for awesome comedies. I also really enjoyed Mob Psycho 100 and (yes i know this next one is really gay just shut up ok) Yuri on ICE!!
