Hello,
I recently started looking into Anime. I heard that once you start, you can't stop.

I started off with something basic and popular, Sword art Online and I was wondering what your thoughts on the anime is?

Thank you.

I personally do not like Sword art Online
I do not like Kirito, he has no personality and is OP AF
And I have personally just something against animes where they are stuck in a game, pretty boring IMO
( INACTIVEDUE TO STUFF IRL )

Kirito a good protagonist, always balanced and judicious

Well, I'll be honest with you. The first half of the first season was good then the second half was complete dogshit. As for the second season, it was GGO so it was somewhat decent but Kirito was still OP which made it boring since it's like having cheats in a game. But, the 3rd season is by far the best since they removed every shit character including Kirito.

My Grandfather smoked his whole life. I was about 8 years old when my mother told him, 'If you ever want to see your grandchildren graduate, you have to stop immediately.'. Tears welled up in his eyes when he realized what exactly was at stake. He gave it up immediately. Three years later he died of lung cancer. It was really sad and destroyed me. My mother said to me- 'Don't ever smoke. Please don't put your family through what your Grandfather put us through." I agreed. At 20, I have never touched a cigarette. I must say, I feel a very slight sense of regret for never having done it, because Sword Art Online gave me cancer anyway.

Just watch it and see what you think about it if you don't enjoy it as much try watching Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood.

I like SAO because pretty much the only LNs and WNs I read are OP protagonist.

I think SAO is a fun anime, but if you're looking for anime with a good story SAO is not the place to start it's ass writing. Though it might get rebooted at least the Aincrad arc so theres that.
