Nigeria: Binkabi, a firm based in London, will on Wednesday 30th May hold a meeting in Lagos, Nigeria to discuss how the blockchain technology can be adopted to making trading of agricultural commodity fairer and more profitable.

The meeting, scheduled to take place in the evening, will feature Dr. Andrew S. Nevin, the Chief Economist for Binkabi, and CEO Quan Le. The meeting will examine how a tokenized, decentralized commodity trading platform can offer solutions to the present challenges facing the agricultural commodity supply chain in Nigeria, and Africa as a whole.

According to the statement, agricultural commodities play a vital role in boosting the growth in emerging markets, however, complex cross-border supply chains are currently plagued by lack of trust, poor financial and market infrastructure, lack of coordination among market actors, and opaque legal enforcement.
