Dunkirk was a bit overrated, to be honest.

The classics, of course:

Paths of Glory (1957)
Apocalypse Now (1979)
All Quiet on the Western Front (1930)
The Bridge on the River Kwai (1957)
Full Metal Jacket (1987)

I think Full Metal Jacket is one of the best war movies.

I think my top 3 in order would be
Saving Private Ryan
Full Metal Jacket
Das Boot

Apocalypse Now, one of the classics you should really check it out no regrets guarranted!

sniper is one of my favorite war film. Duell enemy at the gates is also realy good
