Tips on creating a GMod DarkRP Server?

As he said, if you want a darkrp that people are willing to come back you need something players want in your server that other servers dont have, that is the most important if you want to make a sv. You can use a diferent map or new jobs ideas but dont make a plane downtown cops vs mobs.

I would recommend you to go on the popular servers and just look at the addons they have and how things work such as what kind of ranks they have and where they place specific things such as the Inventory Bank and Meth Addict NPCs, things like that, also looking at the donation system and checking the different kinds of jobs they have to get some new ideas. Also a great way to make a server is to download the dedicated server and basically work on it and add new addons and stuff then once everything looks good and works perfectly you can go ahead and buy a server and just transfer all the files from your dedicated server onto your paid server. Create as many jobs as you can... And ban mingy kids, sure

Make sure you have a decent budget otherwise you wont be able to continue to run it as it will cost money and dont prepare to not spend much money, as you will need addons, server costs and more so just spend your money wisely

otherwise you'll be dealing with players shit more than anything. So unless you got a lot of friends you'll want to advertise too, and keep new people coming in.

you want to have admins, or good ones if your making it public, so get some friends in different time zones to be on when your not and thatl do it, just a tip for any server
