Which is the best minecraft version ?

As some others have said and voted, I went with 1.7 (1.7.10) because of the largest number of mods available for this version.


I've been playing modded since 1.2.5, and since that point with most of the mods that Direwolf20 has been using in his single player series. I've played a bit with the Magic Launcher and Tekkit, but as of 1.4.7 and later I have used the FTB Launcher, which I have found the easiest to customize which mods to play with.


I do still have my old vanilla worlds, but these have a few mods in them as well, such as Single Player Commands, WMLL, Optifine, and EnchantView.

i will try the 1.6 version, since i really like mining / caving

1.8 because of pvp, but 1.12.2 for blocks, mainly 1.8 though

recently got back into minecraft. im pretty sure you should use the latest update unless you ARE WANTING to use mods

i find the best version is 1.8.8 this version is very nice!

i like 1.7.10 for pvp
1.8.9 for prison servers,
other version for modpacks

1.7-1.8.9 the best versions
but for me my fav was 1.2.5 when i started playing :3

1.1 was my first version i love it. and still my favourite

i find 1.8.9 the best version because there is no 1.9 pvp and this is stable.

infdev is not on there. What is this madness!?

Those were the best days back in 0.7.X and what not.
