Advice Needed Building a new pc. Suggestions?

I'm looking to build a new pc, since my current one is a few years old. Does anyone have any suggestions from personal builds etc? I'm trying to spend up to $1000. pcpartpickerpreferred. Appreciate it.

1K can get you a decent rig as mine, I have a 7600k, 1060, but if you can find the right deals you should be golden.
