I work at a shitty wendys and it sucks but I mean I'm young and need money.

If you get taxed with 50% or more by the government, i can understand, when people see through this scam and tell tell them self: Why should I work?
But that's not the point, I think your job is more then just money, it's also a part of your personal development.
