Archfags need to die since most of them don't actually know how linux really works and just followed the install guide on the wiki. If they seriously gave a single fuck about 'learning linux' or knowing what they're doing at all, they would be using Gentoo or Sourcemage.

Right now I'm leaning towards TrueOS for a new desktop OS. I need to dual-boot on this laptop, I absolutely hate Windows but there's so much shit I need to be able to do that I simply can't on a unix system, like audio editing/recording or anything that's really creative at all.

I'd say any LinuxOS. Lubuntu for leightweight otherwise ArchLinux.
