Would suggest using something other than PP because it's not hard to get messed over by someone. Try using donations as a means of payment if you're going to continue using PP..

I think PayPal is losing market share, I am not sure but if eBay no longer give them exclusive, But there are other options right now, they have to be aware or they might go down futher.

I would say use your legitimate PayPal account whilst using a donation link, you can get one at paypal.me
