What's your opinion about Teemo?

Riot will never remove a character from the game. Anyone who picks that option is either trolling or doesn't understand that little fact.

And I think it's fairly obvious that you've never had to play Teemo against hard CC gapclosing/poking lanes such as Xin Zhao, Nidalee, or Jayce. He burns through mana quickly if he's constantly having to use his W or Q and Shrooms, plus his Shrooms are destroyed when someone walks on them and provide much less vision than a sight ward, making them less useful.

I actually love playing him - extreme lane bully but it's not like you cannot counter him.
He has counter match ups (pantheon especially) and he is extremely prone to ganks/babysits.

He also doesn't offer a whole lot in teamfights unlike tanks so he does have even more downsides.

Teemo is no longer a threat on top lane except for some specific picks

It's actually a fun champion to play sometimes. He can be effective if you master him, but I feel like he falls off a bit in higher elo's that's why we rarely see him in gold or above. All in all, for someone who starts the game teemo is a great champion to play
