how much ram should a host have?

It really depends on how many server slots you require.

3GB is enoughto be able to host a darkrp server with 50 - 80 slots with a decent CPUand not many addons but 4GB is plentyto run a server on

i think 8 gb ram is enough for darkrp server

3-4gb is good enough for a busy gmod server. The server should only use 1-3gb.

Anyone who says anything above 4GB is wrong since the GMod server is a 32 bit application and therefore can only possibly utilise 4GB of RAM no matter the case.

u should have about 6 - 8 GB of ram. but u need a goot cpu too.

Depends on how many people are going to play on the server, i.e. 8GB is fine for 10 people (about 3GB ram allocated)

my think 8 gb ram is ok but 16 gb is best . You should buy server with 8 gb ram

more of a cpu deal actually, but minimum 8GB ram is good, and CPU with 4 cores is really good
