Am i the only one creating a local server to play on?

So am i the only one spending hours and hours creating and configuring a spigot local server just to enjoy minecraft with a bit more fun?

Me and my little brother have a localhosted spigot server, only us 2 play it but we like to try and "replicate" more popular servers

I did a mythic mob pack for my resource pack, so I can have new 3D mobs in the game without any mods, but I've to setup a server in order to get the new sounds of the mobs
