I've been using a service called CKEditor, it's a really good text editor to use on admin panels and even in some rare cases I've actually seen some sites use it on the user panels.

It's http://ckeditor.com + they also have a CDN so that you can easily load it over the internet rather than having to download it.

i will try using with SEO and i will share some script today

CkEditor is super powerful. There are so many extensions for it, it's been around for ages and a lot of the top forum vendors use it in their own software (such as IPS). IT depends on your goals, of course. If it's something dead simple, then CKEditor might be over the top and just add size to the page load times. There's just so many options with it, I wouldn't really go past it. Really nice and easy to run multiple instances on one page and submit with js/ajax (Rather than direct POST).

i would vote for CKEditor too like most people here
Work like you don't need the money. Love like you've never been hurt. Dance like nobody's watching

Brackets, brackets is the best. Live editing and seeing your work at the same time as it changes is really cool and efficient. Install different modules, themes and much more. Can be downloaded from

See if I wasn't so confused I'd say that too. I use SublimeText at home but Brackets at work and they're easily the best software I've used to date - apart from Notepad++.

Except, I'm sure OP said was talking about rich text editors and not bare text editors. That being said, I've heard CKEditor is a a great tool to use.

On Windows Ultraedit is one of the nicer ones. Notepad++ too is worth a look.
