Suggestions to convince people using a forum apart of the social networks

Hi there.

I am thinking on opening a forum for videogame discussions and multimedia because the socialnetwork kinda limits some aspects while sharing content there however there's a small problem with the public, they doesn't want to stop using facebook and i see that is very hard to convince them to use a forum.


does anyone of you can have a good suggestion to convice them to use a site other than a social network, something that can balance the activity between the social networks?

forum is more annomity and less attention whore compare to social network which they post stuff to ask people to validate there own attention
