Why does DarkRP get so much hate?

I don't know why darkRP get's hate, its probably because whenever a new player joins a old server or a server that has been running for a couple of weeks they can't do anything due to people being to powerful

I think its because, at least for me, darkRP is one of the RPG things i dont find so great because its boring

Due to dumb abusive admins , 3 years old rdmers , cheaters , horrible administration , very fat servers , pay2win and you will always see the same content in most servers.

Probably because most DarkRP servers are either hosted or infested by children as well as the fact that there is barely any good RP on them.

I believe that it is not for the game mode but for the players, many children and little roleplay. I personally like the darkrp gamemode.

Cause a lot of 3 years old chieldrens rdmed you every time, every admin trying to abusive for ez play on a server. And many servers on a darkrp server i see, have a P2W system (jobs,op guns and more)

DarkRP typically gets a lot of hate due to how poorly made the servers are. Alongside that, if you are in with the coders, you will also know it's a very poorly written gamemode.

A lot of players disregard the roleplaying and since its at the top of the server browser many new players end up there and have bad experiences like I did and many other friends.

Its because of all the script kiddies out there. Server owners don't really like DarkRP since they know they will get some script kiddie who just fucks their entire server.
I suggest going with PropHunt since that gamemode does get a lot more players.

And until aStonedPenguin Shuts down his servers (Which will likely never happen)
we wont see a rise in popularity in other DarkRP

the fact that most players are just there for combat rather than actual roleplay.
