There's been quite a bit of chatter online over the new Nvidia GPU cards, mainly over the cost of them.

With that in mind, will any of you be planning, or have already order/got a 2080 or 2080 ti? Or any of the new Nvidia cards?

I am planning on buying a 2080ti, the guide price is 1300 for the model I want, which is quite insane..
Part of me see's it as a investment, as i work within 3d which requires powerful cards, so I guess eventually I would make the money back which justifies it.. However, considering previous cards never cost this much in comparision, it seems a little silly, so I think I may be wait until the end of the year and hope a deal will pop up or prices will drop for competitive reasons..

That said.. I do not actually know if many of the Asus etc models of the 2080ti even have release dates yet..

Why would you upgrade from your gtx 1070, they still support most of the games out here and can run them in high quality

I won't be upgrading anytime soon, I am using the 1080ti probably for the next few generations. If AMD brings up a good offering to truly compete with the 2080ti then I may upgrade for the compute power, but for gaming I am not really all that bothered about raytracing, more interested in raytracing for 3d art in video.

I wont be getting one just because its still too expensive and besides RTX is rarely used so no use for it right now.
