Why is darkrp so popular?

I think DarkRP is so popular because you get to be someone else. You get to dive right into a new style of life that you don't normally get to experience. Yeah GTA and many other games offer this, but gmod is so open to customization that nothing is impossible.

The Gamemode is 'great' and popular because it's casual, you have a variety of nationalities and characters, some funny and humorous, some serious and hard. Some servers have custom addons and such, which flavor the game even more.

It's because it's far from serious roleplay and people love that. Paying 20 for a custom job is something people also enjoy apparently.

RP is lie but gmod is definitly not for serious RP the community have so child

Why wouldnt it be, raid, mug, kidnap, etc. Its a great interactive gamemode

I just like the grind of DarkRP, then meeting players and playing with them is just a bonus really.

Cause its so fun and isn't always very serious, thats why GMOD in my opinion is the best video game ever
