Meteor - Meteorite

I was seeing this the other day and i was confused by the two sepearate meanings and i want to know the difference (if there is any).

A meteor is what you see in the sky when the small chunk of debris burns up in our atmosphere.
A meteorite is any part of the meteor that survives the fall through the atmosphere and actually completes its journey to the surface.
