God. I got 10 minutes in and actually found myself literally cringing. I don't know if I'm going to bother with anymore of it. It's scary how well they set it up from season 5 thinking about it. With Claire ending the series by cancelling the call from Frank, looking at us and saying "my turn". Did they know then that Spacey wouldn't be around for the next series?
Problem is, Claire just doesn't carry the charisma that Frank had. Frank was the villain we loved and needed from a series like this. The embodiment of corruption. He was interesting and you were engrossed in whatever he might strive toward next. Admittedly, the last couple of series weren't the best anyway. But now... with Spacey gone... It should've just been cancelled at the end of 5. Sure, Robin Wright is a decent enough actress. But every time she looks at the camera, I can't help but roll my eyes. It doesn't work. And I think they made a serious mistake in taking that approach.
What are your thoughts? Is it worth sticking it out for more of the series?
