Is darkRp dying?

I don't know about your country but I think that less and less people play darkRP, maybe it's just a case in Onionland(Poland) but I think this gamemode is slowly dying. What do you guys think?

Nah DarkRP is still going strong, i think its actualy the most played gamemode. English and french communitys are still going strong oh and then ther is also russia

Still alive.. It's still one of the most played gamemodes, lots of servers..

The GMod community sometimes looks down upon DarkRP as some form of cesspit, and I would partially agree with them. DarkRP itself is coded by a developer that has very little respect for the players he creates his gamemode for and even has an MOTD printed to console every time you join telling you that DarkRP is shit. This is further not helped by the fact that the DarkRP community is toxic and mainly fueled by people that want to be on a powertrip 24/7. However, even through all that, DarkRP and it's derivative gamemodes continue to go strong as one of the highest ranking (if not the highest) gamemodes that GMod has ever seen.

Fairly certain this was already a thread a couple days ago. But as i said there, given its currently the number 1 gamemode on Gmod, it would be absurd to assume its dead or dying

I don't think darkrp with die for a very long time due to people being able to be whoever they want to be on the servers.

I am from Russia and we have some problems with templated darkrp's with default jobs and leaked server collections. Finding a brand new, interesting server is quite difficult. Classic DarkRp is going down

DarkRP is going to stay as the most popular gamemode, people just should make new servers that are different but i guess it's hard to

I don't think darkrp is dying but I don't think it's growing either, the max possible is that it is steadily losing it's playerbase.
