Hey guys for my new years resolution I was planning to learn to play the piano. Does anyone of you have any tips for beginners? I have started to learn how to read music. Do you think i should get a teacher? Even though I wanted to learn all by myself through online free content. Thoughts?
Getting used to reading piano music, especially if you have never learned an instrument before, is the most difficult part of learning in my opinion. Luckily there are shortcuts to help you get better at learning, sight reading, and mastering later down the line.
I can give you some tips if you can tell me, is this your first instrument that you're learning? Or have you learned other instruments before.

Thank you for the reply! Yes this is my first instrument ever. Soon enough probably in the next week or two I will buy my first piano. I put a lot of research into it. I will be purchasinga Casio CDP-130, an 88weighted keyboard.
