I dont recommend unity. The best option is Unreal for now.

If youre willing to spend more time learning the software then Unreal Engine will definitely serve you well. If you want results fast then Unity3d is the go to.

Define "game making software". If you're trying to make the next Elder Scrolls, I wouldn't even start, because you'll fail without a capable team of designers. Start with a smaller engine that's simpler to get to grips with like Gamemaker Studio. After that, I'd get some books on game design if you actually want to get anywhere with this. Practice with small projects, maybe upload some of your work on Kongregate to see what ideas will make a hit and what will clearly fail.

unity for me is the most complete and usefull engine, yo can found almost evrerything for make a specific game

I used to code for some time, not very long, but I think I can share my opinion with you. If you know C# or other unity supported coding language try that. It is really easy to learn. But if you want to have more control over game code, optimisation stuff etc, try UE. The interface is a little intimidating when you start, because of tons and tons of options avalaible, but C++ is coding language giving you more control over final product, and I think it is also faster. That is only my opinion though. Smile

I presonaly use unity it"s great to start. I did"t like unreal because it"s unability to good optimilize games for mobile.
