Is it common to map public places in CS? I feel like a wierdo.

I recently made a partial map of my school in hammer. It's pretty damn accurate too, I put lots of effort into it. I showed a few people and they were wierded out, but I thought it was fine. Im I the wierdo here, or are they overreating?

i don't know if its common, but i know if i had the skill to do such think i would!
