Leeching is when u go down to the local swamp and take off your pants and wait for the leech`s to come and attack you, Then u get out of the water and collect them all and put them in a bucket. Your now a professional Leecher :lol: :lol: :lol:
I would say leeching is stealing others work. Joining a community just so you can steal their resources and use it for your own good, without benefiting the community at all. That's probably why you were banned before, no one likes to lose their work. They want to share it.
T.L.D.R: Leeching is when you take without giving back.
In the case of a forum, it would be posting bullshit short replies and questions, as 90% of the "non-leechers" here do, and not giving anything back to the community when you download things, such as in the form of leaking things yourself, releasing cracks, or posting cracked accounts.
Most forums are going to be pretty blind to this, like this forum only blocking people who get the X posts to then download 1 file, however, a quality forum would also remove people who do not put effort into such things, i.e. posting leaks/cracks/etc. which they did not make or obtain themselves or just stole from another forum or website.
Obviously, the credits part in this means nothing. You only get credits as another means to discourage leeching and encourage posting things that the community as a collective deems worth their time, however just because you use the credits you got from posting random shit does not mean you are entitled to take things without giving back.
