One Piece Luffy Vs Katakuri

What was the reason Katakuri lose ? He could easily defeat Luffy. I personally felt destroyed when katakuri fell on his back and declared as lost. I don't understand how luffy withstands 100x hard blows than previous fights and still is able to fight.
