i think the welcome message, the private dm thing, when new account signup is weak. i like how it's simple but i was also hoping to get a direct link to the "introduce yourself" forum. also, maybe even link or add details about posts stuff. like how you cant download anyhting without specific amount of posts. maybe just add another link to the other forums with all the rules.

everything was solid. good onboarding experience but just a few tweaks and it would be perfect.

I think this would definitely be helpful. A link to the introduction board and help documents would be a great addition to the welcome message. Honestly I thought the welcome message already included a link to the help documents for the rules, etc. but it's been so long since I've joined I can't remember.

It would be good if the message mentioned rules and a little FAQ about the forum. I agree with OP.

Ah I see well they do have a link to the help documents and do talk to about the post requirement for hidden content. I suppose they could have more info on those things within the message but I think they have them linked for you to browse so the welcome message isn't super long. As for FAQ I think that could be a good little addition.

It doesn't look clickable though. Maybe if when they confirm the e-mail, a page about the forum and stuff that needs to be there.

Hmm that's strange, it should be clickable. I guess that needs to be fixed or it bugged out.

I really welcome the idea that you get a link to the "introduce yourself" forum. Nice one.

Also, welcome to the forum! Hope you'll enjoy your stay.

I love your idea, I really do. But let's be realistic here, how many people actually thoroughly read the Welcome message? Like for example when I signed up I viewed the various topics and saw the intro thread clicked on that, wrote my intro (which sadly know one replied :() then read the rules. I mean do people really need to be babied into clicking on the intro thread?

If you really care about being apart of community then why don't you explore and see what it's all about. Idk but Photo what do you think. I know you stated that you where on board, but do you get where I am coming from?

I agree with you, I don't think users need to be babied to do certain things. As you've seen there's already a link to the help documents in the welcome message and I think that's sufficient. I guess a link to the introduction board couldn't hurt but most users find that just fine and post there.

But tegad did get me thinking with a good idea, I thought I would share with you. You know how you get notified every-time someone replies or tags your name right? Well say that you made a thread and people have commented but you don't know the specific times/ date. Say you get a notification forevery-timesomeone commented on your thread or the same topic that you posted on.

That would be more engaging to people they could know who said what andreplyback to them, plus it weakens the people who are credit addicts who just want credits. If your having an engaging conversation with someone, it's more fun then just sitting on the Main page and viewing other peoples idea's/ thoughts. Right?

I mean other forums do that, so I can understand if Nulledbb want's to be unique but it is not a bad idea to take into consideration.
