No; i don't think it will ever be possible. I think that's Sci-FI BS

It is not possible for a human to live forever due to all the processed foods and chemicals that are put/consumed in our bodies. The cap of human existence per, person is 150 years. That is how long a person can live in today's times. Now back in the biblical days the lived longer 150+ years because of food consumption and less pollution.

It's shocking though with all the treatments and medical advances we have now the life expectancy of an american is only 77. That's pretty damn sadsay if you ask me!

Maybe if we learn to stop telomeres from breaking down or manage to transfer consciousness to a BCI (Brain computer interface)

Right now I doubt it's possible. I'm hoping that within my lifetime we will be able to upload our consciousness to computers though.

IDK, but I tell you what we are doing. wasting our time trying to figure out something we will never know. So yeah, go lay that pipe.

Well yes it is a very real possibility but it probably wont be comic book immortality. We will most likely be living in a computer or a computer simulated reality. This is due to technology advancing at a extremely fast pace and places like google x making the vision of future we have a reality.

I hope not, I would like to live my life and for it to end naturally.

I think it's possible for humans to achieve technology to greatly expand the lives of our species, and it's already showing, we're living much longer than we have generally than our previous generations. And I think this generation may be able to see this technology come to fruition. As for immortality? I don't think the human mind is equipped to handle forever. We can't even wrap our heads around the concept of infinity. Forever is a long time. We're supposed to die to make room for our future as a species. Immortality will not only get in the way of our evolution, it might end up being the thing that destroys us.

Even if we survived for the next couple thousand years.

5 Billion years from now. Sun will explode.

200,000 ish years from now. Asteroid impact will extinct everything.

Eventually, even the last atom/particle in the universe will die. Returning back to the state before the Big Bang.

Meaning there could've been a big bang and a full universe for trillions of years before this big bang.
