Should i Use a vps?

Honestly, I think you should use a VPS. I've hosted several using both methods but the return on investment you would see from a VPS is vastly different to if you were hosting it through a Minecraft hosting company.

Also, the RAM requirements are cheaper to meet through a VPS than with another host.

What would a vps do? like whats the entire point can anyone help me out please?

VPSs are great and quite cheap withs ome being .2c a day (Ubuntu). I honestly find it really enjoyable using them.
