I think the 15 posts rule is kind of pointless

I personally understand why it is there. Not only does it weed out the guys just here for the downloads it also encourages actual discussions :D

Wait, so it's not actually based upon number of posts, but upon credits? Now I'm confused as well. How do you earn credits? Do you have to start new threads?Do replies to other posts earn credits? Or not? Am I inquiring along the right track?

*edit* I just noticed I've got 13 posts and 18 credits. What are the credits good for versus the posts?

I agree with some first page comments. You take a little time to the forum, making posts or cool things like interacting in posts and in return you get free resources in the forum, there is nothing to complain about. I honestly think it's fair this question of 15 posts, as it encourages users to make posts, and they may like the forum over the past times to get 15 posts and may even continue to contribute, thus causing the forum to gain more members active in the forum.

its true it doesnt rly deter any one but i guess maybe it pushes some people to at least be a little social

and its not like we not all know there are like a lot of these sites and if people rly want to leach they can easely do it somewhere else

It kind of weeds out those who are only here to leach, the 15 posts rule is also good because I think a lot of the new users thing spam posting will earn them credits to then download once they hit 15 but it just ends up getting them banned.
