Practicing in Death Match servers (non-valve) before you play a match can really help improve your game. Just putting in a maps everyday will help a lot.

When I play for real I play the aim before starting a comp and also the recoil map to practice the recoil of ak and m4 before I go into games just to be extra warmed up. I even play a DM + those sometimes before starting to play comp games.
I'm willing to help anyone that wants to get better at cs:go and doesn't want to use hacks. A little about me, current rank global elite. 1.5k hours into cs, probably around the same again watching pro games, tutorials, etc etc so I have alot of xp. Have played shooters on pc / console for like 15 years. rank before the vac waves messed up matchmaking making every DMG global elite was supreme, no idea if I would be eligible to call myself a legit global as I have no way of testing now. Have played with a few semi pro's and pro's.
If you have any questions at all about cs then feel free to ask and i'll happily help simply because i love cs:go and would love to see it grow.
Well graphicx shared his steam with me so i can play CS:GO. Help me to get around it. I don't know much about how it works with steam. I have played 1.6 and condition zero online and on lan. So i am familiar with the gameplay. But what I don't know is how does it work with steam?

You should start out with playing deathmatches in order to get to know the guns since there is a huge difference between the 1.6 guns and csgo guns (i used to play A LOT of 1.6 ).
