What do you guys think about Minecraft gaining popularity once again?

I do not think it is getting popular. What's your source? People say games are gaining players all of the time, but are they really? I think it has just been the hype of the new update and summer vacation underway. Unfortunately, I think a lot of the old player base will no longer be playing Minecraft. It's not as good anymore. The community is toxic.
