Apple Or Microsoft

For a laptop I would go with a second hand MacBook Pro, simply because of MacOS. More stable, more power efficient, usually better screens and always more expensive.
For a desktop however there's no question. You're forced to go with Microsoft Windows due to the sky-high cost of getting a decent mac.
